With the divine blessings of our beloved Bhagawan Rakhee festival was celebrated in Victoria Memorial home amidst joy and children of the home were showered with brotherly love of the members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. The seeds of universal brotherhood and spirit of Rakhee were sown in the tender hearts. The event started at 9 AM. The eagerly awaiting students welcomed brothers from Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations(SSSSO) who carried loads of Rakhees and sweets with them.

Interesting point to note here is that the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Reprogramming Lives course started by Dilsukhnagar unit too were inspired and participated in the celebrations. The lessons of service too are imparted to the students at this center!!!

VMH staff members were also at the school meeting hall along with their kids to make them also a part of the program. All the kids from 1st to 5th class were seated in a way that boys and girls facing each other. Our Sai brothers mingled with the kids, which is quite natural skill to most of them and delighted them to the extent that even after the program they were not feeling like moving from the hall. The little girls tied Rakhees to all our brothers expressing their love & affection.

Brothers who are part of designing course took the responsibility of distributing the Rakhees and sweets to the kids. They too were tied Rakhees and had taken home many moments of joy of love. Program concluded around 11AM.

Here are few of the snapshots that touched us and believe move your hearts too:

Amongst the 130 students joined in VMH this year, few kids were crying as they missed their parents, brothers & sisters. Our brothers have identified those kids and extended warmth and very special care to bring them back from the home sickness.

We found one kid sobbing very badly, as he wrote “AMMA” and “Tammudu” (brother) on his tiny hands and kept constantly looking at them.

Designing course brothers involved in this activity as if it was not the first time they were part of such activity at VMH. While the students were leaving the hall they shook hands with each kid enquiring about their details and wishing them best for their studies and over all well being.

After the program higher classes’ students of VMH have took our brothers to their class rooms and explained about their daily routines and shared many interesting things about them.

Pray Swami to give us direction and strength in carrying forward this activity.
