University to Universality

Event Date: Preliminary Conferences were conducted at Ravindra Bharathi Hyderabad on 24th Oct, 2009 and Jan 10th, 2010. Main Conference was held from Jan 29th to Jan 31st ,2010 in Prashanthi Nilayam.

Objective of the Project:
1. To create a platform for like minded youth from Hyderabad city to meet and participate in creative, constructive Nation development work.
2. Lay a strong foundation of “Daiva Preethi-Paapa Bheeti-Sanga Neethi” – love for God, fear of sin, and righteousness in the society.

Event was Conducted in 5 Phases: This table gives Snapshot of the entire event at various phases.

1.Invitation	This phase involved meeting as many students as possible and inviting them to join for Youth conferences to be conducted in Ravindra bharathi	Students had glimpses of Swamis Seva projects and about projects conducted by Youth from Hyderabad SSS.org	Over 10,000 students were met in this phase
2.Reflection	Two Youth conferences were conducted in Ravindra bharathi on Oct 25, 2009 and Jan 10th 2010. Eminent speakers interacted with students for 3 hour session interspersed with Cultural programs. Students were asked to volunteer to enroll for bigger workshop in Parthi in the last week of Jan 2010	Conference was titled University to Universality. Students were introduced to topics like True patriotism, Building value based personality & Importance having right goals in one’s Life.	More than 2000 students attended these programs
3.Exposure	Before taking the enrolled students to Parthi, Seva activities were organized for student participation.	Students participated in seva activities like interacting with Orphan children and traffic management in two key areas of Hyderabad.	Over 300 students participated.
4.Witness	In this phase Youth conference in Parthi was conducted from Jan 29th to Jan 31st, 2010.	Students underwent a 3 day workshop facilated by Speakers selected by Swami. Eminent educationists from various universities had an exclusive orientation session with panel members of SSSU. Both students and Educationists had opportunity to attend to Divine discourse given by Bhagawan for this event.	1256 youth + 30 eminent educationalists attended this program, with over 90% of them visiting Parthi for the first time!
5. Practice	This phase is meant to engage the new youth and students into Service activities.	After the event Students have been participating in string of Seva activities like Water camps, Narayana Seva, Seva in VIP villages. Students also underwent series of Communication skills workshops.	This is ongoing programme.

There were 2 important events happening during Witness phase.

A) There was conference workshop conducted, where in the speakers selected by Swami interacted with college students.

B) There was a half day panel discussion conducted by Sri Sathya Sai University team for eminent educationalists from Hyderabad.

Apart from above mentioned key events , Bhagawan had blessed the event immensely by accepting the offerings of youth team which were presented as Cultural event as drama on Jan 29^th and music program on Jan 31^st ,2010.

The soul of the event was Bhagawans Divine discourse given exclusively for the conference delegates on Jan 30th 2010 in Poornachandra auditorium.

Thousands of students came back from Prashanthi Nilayam with their hearts filled with inspiration and aspiring to offer their services in the noble endeavors.
