“The land of Bharat is like a teacher to all the countries in the world. Where else would Lord Shiva incarnate, except in such a sacred land as Bharat?... This Yagna is being conducted for the welfare of the world. There is a very important aspect of this Yagna. The Athi Rudra Maha Yagna protects and fosters the divine nature in the human beings, while rejecting and diminishing the demonic qualities. Thus, it works for the welfare of humanity.”
– Bhagawan on 9 Aug 2006

In line with Swami’s command, hundreds of youth across the city have learnt to chant the Rudram along with its meaning. Dr. Anil Kumar garu, faculty member of Sri Sathya Sai University, Puttaparthi, was kind enough to train hundreds of youngsters in Vedam. Various Samithis have been requesting the youth team to conduct Rudraparayanam in their zones. This has also led to regular Vedam training classes for youth in Sivam on weekends which led to forming a strong Vedam team.

Achievements of the Project:
  • From the Beneficiary perspective: Such congregational chanting has led to peace of mind for both the listeners as well as chanters.

  • From the Individual /Organisation perspective: Created good visibility for the organization since it was conducted in various temples/ public places and created divine vibrations.

Average attendance of around 60 youth in each Rudraparayanam * 15 such chantings = 900 people actively participated so far.

Conclusion: The expected results were totally achieved.
