Sri Sathya Sai Hyderabad Youth Conference

 

Even as you read this web page, there is plethora of issues doing the devils dance at both global and local scale.

 
 
 

Some statistics:
• 65% of people in our country depend on agriculture for livelihood
• 51% of children in our country are malnourished
• 50% of the nation is under the wrath of corruption

We have two choices at this critical juncture…

either we can choose to remain blissfully ignorant about all that happens around us and remain in our own shelved lives

OR

wake up to the call of our soul and resolve TO BE the difference that we want to see in the world.


 

70% of World Youth below 28 yrs live in India. Without a choice the choices that we make in our day-to-day lives have a direct impact on the society around us, the nation and the world. We (youth) are such a critical mass that any action that we take and the decisions we make have a profound impact on not just the present, but on times to come.


Do you want to be a change agent?


We are not talking about solving problems like world hunger, reversing the climate change or rooting out corruption in a day.


We are talking about the change within each of us. The silent revolution that will bring about the transformation in an individual and spiral into a force that will bring positive change in the world.


The Sri Sathya Sai Hyderabad Youth conference is an effort on this front.


This conference is:
   • By the inspired youth , who prefer action to mere talk
   • For the aspiring youth, who have inner resolution to make the difference, but are in search of platform to ACT.


There are three parts to this:

   1. Awareness: Sai Youth team is visiting various colleges in the city to let students know about this common platform. We have a plan and the team ready to cover atleast 90 colleges in the next 2 months.

 
   2. Knowing: On Oct 25 and Nov 8 conferences will be held in Hyderabad to facilitate the confluence of thoughts and exchange of ideas between students from various colleges

   3. Doing: Walk the Talk - Various projects will be announced on the conference day, where students can signup for activity of their choice
